Nokia PureView 808 Coming to US; Debuts on Amazon

Nokia has confirmed that its PureView 808, which features a 41-megapixel camera at the back, will be making its United States debut on Amazon. One of the last Symbian-powered smartphones, the Nokia PureView 808 will be available unlocked for $699. This means you have to look for the wireless service to power up this device, preferably AT&T or T-Mobile according to Nokia.

This is not the first time Nokia and Amazon committed to a retail partnership, as Amazon previously offered the hefty Nokia Lumia 800 bundle.

Apart from the really large camera with Carl Zeiss optics, the Nokia PureView 808 also offers CD-quality audio recording, full HD 1080p video recording, and media playback with 4X lossless zoom.

Pre-sales will kick off later this week. Excited Symbian enthusiasts, small in numbers as they may be, can sign up on Nokia.com to get updated on the phone’s availability.
